Showcasing Barrow

Offshore Wind Showcase Day at Barrow
Wednesday 2nd October 10:00 – 15:00
ABP’s Port of Barrow

Overview
This event is a showcase of the current offshore services and operations at the Port of Barrow and also highlights the significant future opportunities presented by ABP’s Barrow. With Orsted currently handling offshore wind operations and maintenance, and ABP as the Port operator, the Port of Barrow is well-positioned to capitalise on the growing offshore energy market.

The event will bring together key stakeholders; ABP, the Offshore Energy Alliances’ Topic Champion for Ports, OEA Partners; Orsted, Klosinski Economic Development Consultants and Enterprising Cumbria and others.

The event will present current activities at the port and explore the potential for future growth. Discussions will focus on the opportunities available for the offshore energy sector, particularly relevant to the communities along the west coast of Cumbria and the wider North West regions.

The event
This event is an opportunity to learn about the Port of Barrow’s role in the offshore energy sector and to explore the potential for future developments, including ABP’s Port of Barrow Masterplan, that will benefit both the local community and the wider region.

The agenda will filter through the region, starting with the North Wales-North West region, which will be covered by The Offshore Energy Alliance, followed by a Cumbria-focused session led by Stuart Klosinski and Enterprising Cumbria. After a networking lunch ABP will lead on a port-focused session, followed by a port tour and operations and maintenance (O&M) tour with Orsted.
