The Offshore Energy Alliances’ Supply Chain Topic Champion, Hutchinson, host Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Great British Energy Announcement.

Hutchinson were honoured to host Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Secretary of State Ed Miliband at their North West facility for the government’s announcement of Great British Energy (GB Energy). The visit allowed the Prime Minister and Secretary of State, as well as others, to see Hutchinson’s facilities that support the production of wind turbine towers.

Since joining the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) Funded Business Transformation Programme delivered by Sharing in Growth in late 2021, Hutchinson has made significant progress to support the UK offshore and onshore wind sector. These include better strategic planning and delivery and increased supply-chain and production efficiencies. Hutchinson is now a key player in supporting the offshore and onshore wind supply chain.

Neil Scrivener, Business Development Manager at Hutchinson, expressed his pride in the visit:

The visit showcased Hutchinson’s onshore tower production facilities and offshore activities. It was also an opportunity to highlight the dedication of their team and company apprentices.
