Ifer Gwyn appointed as Co-Chair of the Offshore Energy Alliance
The Offshore Energy Alliance (OEA) has appointed Ifer Gwyn as its new Co-Chair, serving alongside Helen K Thomas from RWE.
The OEA plays a central role in bringing together industry and regional stakeholders, helping to unlock supply chain opportunities and drive long term growth of offshore energy across North Wales and the North West England. Ifer is Head of Communications and External Affairs at JERA Nex bp, developers of the 1.5GW Mona Offshore Windfarm, which entered into a lease agreement with the Crown Estate earlier this year.
Ifer previously served as Head of Stakeholder Communications at Horizon Nuclear Power. Earlier in his career he also worked for the Eryri National Park Authority, developing its approach to sustainable development and partnership working. His background spans stakeholder engagement, communications and the development of major energy infrastructure projects.
Alongside his professional work, Ifer is a volunteer with the RNLI, serving as crew member, press officer and Chair of Criccieth Lifeboat Station.
